Seely, the very first American band signed to Uk independent As well Pure (after the real estate of PJ Harvey, Stereolab and Seefeel), gets the distinctly Uk sound of dream-pop inspired simply by My Bloody Valentine. The music group was shaped in Atlanta in 1994 by two structures learners, guitarist/vocalist Steven Satterfield and guitarist Lori Scacco. Both added vocalist/bassist Pleasure Waters and drummer Eric Taylor, and toured America with like-minded rings Yo La Tengo, Third Eyesight Base and Trans Am. The group agreed upon to As well Pure because of their 1996 debut record Julie Only, a wonderful little bit of indie psychedelia with an impeccable creation work by Tortoise’s John McEntire. Seely’s sophomore LP Secs made an appearance in 1997; Wintertime Birds implemented in early 2000.
