Seekonk

The dreamy Portland, Me personally, quintet Seekonk features multi-instrumentalists Dave Noyes and Patrick Corrigan, drummer/percussionist Jason Ingalls, guitarist/vocalist/keyboardist Todd Hutchisen, and vocalist Sara Raney. The music group were only available in early 2002, when Noyes, who’s also a sous chef, and Corrigan, who’s also a painter and illustrator, had been both dumped by their particular partners and started writing songs jointly. They recruited Shana Barry to sing them; the trio performed their first display that March, carrying out all five of the initial songs that they had within their repertoire alongside addresses of Low and Neil Young (both of whom are main affects on Seekonk’s audio). The music group extended to five people by that summer season, and in fall 2002, Noyes, Corrigan, Ingalls, Hutchisen, and Barry started focusing on their debut recording, For Barbara Lee. Kimchee released the recording past due in 2003, and Raney changed Barry as Seekonk’s vocalist that yr.
