The Greenville, SC roots-rockers Seconds Smooth comprised singers/guitarists Anthony Tomlinson and Larry Hoskinson, lead guitarist Matt Morgan, bassist Rick Stapleton and drummer Marlin Slater. Created in 1993, the group debuted another year using the recording Spittin’ ‘Trigger We PREFER TO. An EP, Short term Fix, adopted before Seconds Smooth teamed with mentioned maker Brian Ahern to record an eponymously-titled LP released in 1997 around the Green Linnet label.
