Seaworthy

This solo project of Athens, GA, band Macha’s frontman Josh McKay veers in the dulcimers and doldrums from the East, instead moving to oddball ambience. The 2002 debut The Trip features a possibility visitor appearance by Haco, an associate of After Supper, who sings over “YOUR DAY.” The menacing waves, piano, and McKay’s gentle, alienated voice graph the disintegration of the romance, recalling the structure of Labradford using the psychological fat of Low. In March of 2002, McKay toured with fellow slowcore performers the New Calendar year and Pedro the Lion.
