Newfoundland musician Séan McCann played within the groupings the Newfoundland Republican Military and Rankin Road before signing up for Great Big Ocean, which had an extended recording career you start with its self-titled debut album in 1992. McCann added to all from the band’s albums, performing, playing various equipment, and writing music.
