Best known seeing that the post-Stone Roses task of guitarist John Squire, the Seahorses found where in fact the last Rock Roses record still left off, leaning toward traditional rock and roll as opposed to the dance-influenced Brit-pop from the Rock Roses’ heyday. In 1996, significantly less than a season after the Rock Roses known as it quits, Squire shaped the Seahorses (which, when the words are reformed, spells “he hates roses”) along with vocalist/guitarist Chris Helme, bassist Stuart Fletcher, and drummer Andy W. Made by the renowned Tony Visconti, DO-IT-YOURSELF premiered in June 1997 and received blended reviews. After a global tour, including many schedules with Oasis, the music group hit the studio room to record their second record, only to discover Watts keep the group. He was quickly changed, but after only 1 record, the group disbanded in Feb 1999 because of creative distinctions between Squire and Helme. An album’s worthy of of material have been documented, but under no circumstances surfaced. Helme continuing to record being a solo musician, while Squire provides remained calm since.
