Scratch Acid

The Austin, TX, post-hardcore noise group Scuff Acid laid the groundwork for a lot of the distorted, milling alternative punk rockers from the ’90s. Shaped in 1982, the music group originally presented Steve Anderson (vocals), David Wm. Sims (acoustic guitar), Brett Bradford (acoustic guitar), David Yow (bass), and Rey Washam (drums). Anderson was quickly kicked from the group as well as the music group performed as an instrumental clothing for some time. Yow shifted to vocals, Sims turned to bass, as well as the music group released a self-titled EP in 1984. 2 yrs later on, they released the full-length Simply Keep Eating as well as the scathing Berserker EP. Carrying out a very long tour that got them through America and European countries, Scratch Acid break up in-may of 1987. Sims and Washam became a member of with Steve Albini to create the consciously caustic Rapeman. After Rapeman break up, Sims reunited with David Yow to create the Jesus Lizard in 1989, which found where Scratch Acidity left off.
