American composer and guitarist Scott Johnson incorporates contemporary instrumentation like the guitar into his works. THE BRAND NEW York-based composer began in Wisconsin, where he grew up, and studied visible arts in the university. Furthermore to his main, Johnson performed in local rock and roll bands and required music theory programs during this time period. After relocating to N.Con.C. in 1975, he concentrated solely on visible arts for a couple years before his music curiosity was reignited by focusing on an audio sculpture. Johnson has truly gone to compose functions for ensembles including Kronos Quartet (“How It Happens”) as well as the Scott Johnson Outfit.
