Royal Oak, MI, metallic outfit Scorch distinguish themselves because of their use of 3 drummers — Dave Arvo, Shawn Farrell, and Todd Wolfe — to online backup all-around mastermind Russ Meuchel (vocals, guitar, bass, songwriter, producer). Nearly death metal, nearly nu-metal, but a small amount of both and even more (glimpses of loss of life and power steel also appear), the music group self-produced, documented, and released its debut record, Encounters, in 2003.
