Science Park

Science Recreation area, the one-man synth pop task of Myke Weiskopf, began while a reply to “the shifting part of technology.” Affected even more by shortwave radio and early digital music compared to the presumed noises of new influx, Weiskopf first began writing tunes at age ten. He finally released his (right now out of printing) self-titled debut in 1997 by himself Obscure-Disk information. 1999’s Futurama, called after a 1940 World’s Good exhibit, received compliment in the Boston region, producing a nomination from the Boston Phoenix for Greatest New Local Take action. After financial issues caused by the documenting of Futurama, aswell as discouragement in playing live, Weiskopf ceased to create or perform for pretty much a season, until Japan’s Motorway information offered to discharge his function. Disinformation, a significantly improved recording, premiered in early 2001. Carrying out a nationwide tour (that Science Recreation area added keyboardist David Savoy, drummer Pete Engel, and bassist Mike Rubin), Weiskopf came back to his hometown of Chicago to keep Science Park being a studio project.
