Schon & Hammer

This is a short-lived partnership between Trip’s Neal Schon (b. 27 Feb 1954, San Mateo, California, USA; acoustic guitar, vocals) and Jan Hammer (b. 17 Apr 1948, Prague, Czechoslovakia; keyboards, drums). The fusion of designs between Schon’s AOR and Hammer’s jazz rock and roll produced Untold Enthusiasm, an archive that largely contains virtuoso shows from both music artists duelling against one another. The innovative English electrical jazz bass participant Colin Hodgkinson, previously with Back again Door, followed the duo in the studio room on the initial record and Schon’s vocal efforts became particularly gratifying. By enough time of the next release a lot of Schon’s comrades from Trip have been enlisted, producing a lighter assortment of music and a departure from Schon And Hammer’s raison d’être. The relationship was shortly dissolved, with Schon coming back full-time to Trip and Hammer shifting to television function, enjoying particular achievement using the Miami Vice series.
