The brainchild of Holland’s response to John Cale, the Lau, ever-changing Amsterdam collective the Scene have already been in the fringes from the Euro indie scene because the later ’70s. Despite their previously half-Dutch/half-English result, they first discovered popularity in neighboring Belgium with ’90s albums Blauw and Open up, and they eventually resolved on the greater long lasting line-up of guitarist Emilie Blom Truck Assendelft, keyboardist Otto Cooymans, and drummer Jeroen Booy. Carrying out a five-year hiatus, the music group reunited in 2007 and, in 2012, released Code, their first studio room record in 11 years.
