Scandroid

Emerging through the dystopian cyberpunk depths of Neo-Tokyo, Scandroid can be a musical task developed by synthwave designer Klayton. Created Scott Albert, the Detroit-based designer (aka Klay Scott) developed the character Crimson, who, based on the imaginary origin story, found out the “New Vintage” sound of the “forgotten period” (i.e., the ’80s) and shaped the Scandroid task to resurrect that vintage design. The Scandroid concept debuted in 2013, when Klayton and his collaborator, fellow synth designer Varien (created Nick Kaelar), released the debut solitary “Salvation Code.” The ’80s-influenced digital soundscapes recalled contemporaries like S U R V I V E and Shed Years, with nods to inspirations like Depeche Setting, Skinny Pup, Tears for Concerns, and New Purchase. Subsequent singles adopted before Kaelar parted methods with Klayton in 2014 to spotlight his own tasks. Scandroid’s first standard full-length was released in past due 2016. The self-titled Scandroid presented an appearance by Group of Dirt, Klayton’s ’90s commercial metal music group, on “Pro-bots as well as the Robophobes.”
