Savoy Motel

Combining 21st hundred years indie rock and roll with the appearance and appear of ’70s pop/rock and roll, Savoy Motel is normally a music group hailing from Nashville, Tennessee. The group was founded by Jeffrey Novak, who was simply previously the founder and frontman from the music group Cheap Period. While holing up at LBH Studios, Novak started working out brand-new materials with fellow Cheap Period alum Jessica McFarland. With Novak on bass and McFarland on drums (strengthened by her classic Maestro Rhythm Ruler drum machine), both needed some electric guitar power, plus they recruited Dillon Watson and Mimi Galbierz, both previously using the group Large Cream. Watson performed lead electric guitar, Galbierz found tempo lines, and Savoy Motel acquired a well balanced lineup. McFarland and Galbierz had been assigned business lead vocal responsibilities, with Novak adding the casual vocal counterpoint. The quartet started writing and documenting material almost instantly, and they state to have documented three albums’ worthy of of music before they produced their live debut in early 2015. In November of this calendar year, Savoy Motel released their initial solitary, a limited-edition 7″ pressing from the music “Sizzling One” and “Souvenir Store Rock and roll.” Both tracks would reappear within the band’s self-titled debut recording, released from the self-employed What’s Yr Rupture label in nov 2016.
