This prolific Guadeloupian zouk star uses gwo ka as the foundation of his sound. Some could find Sartana’s extremely unusual tone of voice unpleasing, although in a few ways it provides a feeling of power and demands interest very much like Peter Tosh. Early albums consist of cooperation by most associates of Kassav’, although ironically his afterwards releases are even more zoukish.
