Extremely agile jazz vocalist and composer Sarah Elizabeth Charles is from Springfield, Massachusetts, where she started developing her skill as soon as elementary school. After senior high school, she relocated to NEW YORK, attended the brand new School, and gained a Bachelor of Great Arts level. Her route crossed with those of Geri Allen, Cecil Bridgewater, George Wires, and Sheila Jordan, amongst others. In 2012, she debuted with Crimson, which she was backed by drummer John Davis, pianist Jesse Elder, and bassist Burniss Earl Travis, collectively referred to as the S.E. Charles Quartet. 3 years afterwards, Charles as well as the same trio released another record, Inner Dialogue, which she created beside Christian Scott.
