Sarah Borges

Walking that okay range between punk and nation, Sarah Borges surfaced from Boston with her alt-country debut, Metallic City, in 2005. Affected by a wide variety of performers including Mahalia Jackson, Sid Vicious, Hank Williams, and Merle Haggard, Borges includes a audio that includes rootsy barroom nation and hard-edged American rock and roll with a good amount of simplicity. Authorized to Blue Corn following a well-received gig at South By Southwest in 2004, Borges proceeded to go into the studio room to focus on her debut. Some paths from the demonstration sessions were sufficient to help make the last cut, as well as the album premiered to critical compliment. She spent an excellent portion of the summertime of 2005 touring and advertising Silver Town alongside such well known players as Dave Alvin. Borges came back to the studio room soon after, operating once more with manufacturer Paul Q. Kolderie. Her second full-length, Diamond jewelry at night, found its way to 2007.
