Sara Lee

Raised in a little town in the western midlands of England, bassist Sara Lee got her big break when she was functioning being a secretary at Polydor Details. She got an opportunity to play for renowned musician Robert Fripp, which resulted in careers with Robyn Hitchcock and Gang of Four. After she transferred to the U.S., even more studio room and touring careers came her method, including use Ani DiFranco, the B-52’s, the Indigo Young ladies, Joan Osbourne, Fiona Apple, yet others. It had been her association with DiFranco, nevertheless, that would confirm the most profitable when in fall 2000 DiFranco’s label, Righteous Babe Information, released Lee’s debut single record, Make It Gorgeous. Driven with the funky bass lines that she exercised over nearly twenty years of playing her device, the record features lyrics from several well-known songwriters, including DiFranco, Emily Saliers from the Indigo Young ladies, Kristen Hall, and Pal Shazar.
