Drummer Sandy Western world co-founded the groundbreaking all-female hard rock-band the Runaways in tandem with her friend Joan Jett. Blessed Sandy Pesavento in Longer Seaside, CA on July 10, 1959, Western world mostly was raised in close by Huntington Seaside, and began playing the drums at age group 9. She continued to be using the Runaways throughout their 1975-1979 life, and by all accounts hardly ever quite got within the band’s break up.
