Sandwitches

Produced in 2008 by Clean & Onlys backup singers Sophistication Cooper and Heidi Alexander, along with drummer Roxy Brodeur of Pillars of Silence, San Francisco-based lo-fi pop trio the Sandwitches mix world-weary folk, ’60s girl group swagger, and infectious, Fleetwood Mac-inspired indie pop right into a sound that’s portion gothic theater and portion front-porch singalong. The music group released its debut record, Steps to make Ambient Sad Wedding cake, on the ARRIVE label in ’09 2009, accompanied by the Duck, Duck, Goose! EP this year 2010. Through the tour helping the Ambient Sad Wedding cake album, Brodeur had taken a sabbatical in the group, and Lance Kramer from the Defeat Cops had taken over as drummer in her lack. Brodeur returned with time to play over the Sandwitches’ sophomore full-length, Mrs. Jones’ Cookies, released in the springtime of 2011. The group continuing to tour, both like a headliner so that as support for fellow San Franciscans Thee Oh Views and Sonny & the Sunsets, and in June 2015 the Sandwitches fallen album number 3, Our Toast.
