Sandra Kolstad

Norwegian singer/songwriter/producer Sandra Kolstad blends digital and acoustic elements into epic pop music. Kolstad examined music at Sandvika’s Rud SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL, ultimately launching her debut EP, All THAT PEOPLE Are, in ’09 2009. Reflecting her history like a classically qualified pianist, All THAT PEOPLE Are’s mainly acoustic sound offered way to even more electronic experimentation on her behalf self-produced 2011 full-length debut, Crux, which integrated samples of tracks from Laurie Anderson and Fever Ray in its wide-ranging audio. In 2012, Kolstad was nominated as a fresh internationally breaking designer at Oslo’s by:Larm event; later that yr, she released her second recording (Nothing at all Lasts) Forever, which presented collaborations with Boy of Light, Lucy Swann, and Bloksberg and was made by Kolstad and Petter Eldh. She documented elements of her third recording, Zero Gravity Mind-set, in Berlin. Released in European countries in 2014, it found its way to the U.S. in March 2015.
