Sandra Barry

United kingdom pop singer Sandra Barry began her performing career in infant talent shows before attending stage school; as Sandra Alfred, she produced her earliest information in 1957 while co-starring on comedian Dave King’s tv series, and in addition made an appearance on radio for the long-running Educating Archie. Jobs in several from the “St. Trininans” film comedies preceded her 1963 re-emergence beneath the name Mandy Mason; a short stint at Parlophone was implemented a year afterwards by another name alter, this time around to Sandra Barry. Supported by the Young boys — vocalist Reggie Ruler, guitarist Alan Ruler, bassist Mike Evans and drummer Roger Powell, who all later get together with guitarist Pete Watson to be mod cult favorites the Actions — she agreed upon to Decca for 1964’s “Actually Gonna Tremble”; following the Young boys broke off independently, Barry was supported by the Plane Blacks, which highlighted potential Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones.
