Sam Nichols

b. 31 August 1918, Eula, Tx, USA. Nichols was raised in San Angelo and obtained his first desire for cowboy tunes when his grandfather trained him some acoustic guitar chords. In his early teenagers, he sang in regional venues. After 1st gaining a program on KGKL, he relocated, in 1935, to the bigger KNEL Brady and in 1937, as the Roaming Cowboy, he was regular around the effective border radio train station XEPN, at Eagle Move, Texas. He offered in america Navy during Globe Battle II and on his go back to civilian existence, he relocated to California. He toured with many west coast celebrities including Gene Autry and Spade Cooley and by himself and made an appearance in minor functions in movies. He first documented for Memo in 1946, attaining enough local achievement with ‘That Crazy And Wicked TRY LOOKING IN Your Vision’ to appeal to MGM, where he also documented the track. (In 1948, the track became a high 10 strike for Ernest Tubb). He also documented ‘I’m Informing You’ that was later on documented by Audrey Williams. Among his additional mentioned recordings was ‘Sows, Cows And Plows’. He retired from your music in 1972 to a plantation near Sonora, Tx. In 1987, the German Cattle label released a compilation recording with musical support supplied by an organization outlined as the Melody Rangers, who have been, in fact, studio room musicians and presented best guitarist Porky Freeman.
