Sam Levene

b. 28 August 1905, Russia, d. 28 Dec 1980, NY, USA. Some resources claim that this well-known stage and display screen character actor was created in NY. However, it appears much more likely that he was taken up to the united states in 1907, and became a naturalized resident some 30 years afterwards. After graduating from senior high school, Levene went to the American Academy of Dramatic Artwork in NY from 1925-27, and produced his Broadway debut nearly immediately in Wall structure Road (1927). The Despair made function scarce, but Levene persevered, and after producing the feeling in Supper At Eight (1932), he set up himself as an excellent professional with Three Guys ON THE Equine (1935).
