Sam Carr & The Delta Jukes

b. Sam McCollum, 17 Apr 1926, Friar’s Stage, Mississippi, USA. As a kid, Carr sometimes went to performances distributed by his dad, blues vocalist Robert Nighthawk. Sometimes, he’d dance using the music group when aged about nine. Carr became a bass participant in his dad’s music group when in his early teenagers, a guitarist with Frank Frost, whom he previously known since early youth. The harmonica participant in this music group, which was produced in St. Louis, Missouri, in the first 50s, was Willie Foster. Carr turned to drums, which device he settled, as well as the music group used many observed bluesmen over time. These were with Sonny Boy ‘Grain Miller’ Williamson through the middle- to past due 50s, plus they also documented with Big Jack port Johnson in 1962/3.
