Sam Black Church

Boston hardcore music group Sam Black Cathedral — singer Plane, guitarist Ben Crandall, bassist Richard G. Lewis and drummer J.R. Roach — released two albums for regional label Taang! through the mid-’90s: a self-titled record in 1993 as well as the follow-up Allow in Lifestyle, released the next calendar year. For 1997’s WHATEVER Does Not Wipe out Us…Makes Us Stronger, the group jumped to Untangled Information; The Black Humor followed a calendar year later.
