Saltatio Mortis

A rigorous live take action with a more elaborate stage display, Saltatio Mortis led Germany’s DARK AGES music group — or “Mittelalterband” — motion by being among the 1st groups to mix epic-scale rock tunes with DARK AGES devices like lutes and bagpipes. The music group was created in 2000 close to the German town of Mannheim, and performed a small number of shows that 12 months dressed in DARK AGES attire. They produced their debut on record a 12 months later making use of their self-released debut, Tavernakel. In 2002 they became a member of the international metallic label Napalm, which reissued their debut with their fresh recording, Das Zweite Gesicht. They continued to become probably one of the most prolific rings around the Mittelalterband picture, releasing six studio room albums and three live models between 2003 and 2012. During 2013 — a particularly successful season for Saltatio Mortis — they released the live documenting Manufactum III in Apr, whilst in August the music group issued a brand new studio work, Das Schwarze Einmaleins.
