Blessed with a solid, distinctive, and versatile tool, vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter Sallie Ford first gained a reputation on her behalf influenced retro-styled music that integrated components of vintage jazz, blues, and rock and roll, before she shifted gears with an adventurous and up to date sound and a fresh band. Ford was created in Asheville, NEW YORK on Sept 4, 1987. She was raised in a family group of performers — her dad was a well-known puppeteer and her mom trained music — but feeling intimidated by their well-respected backgrounds, she favored to become “the strange one” (her term) in family members, and switched her back on her behalf child years violin lessons to consider up acoustic guitar and focus on her performing. Motivated by a small number of her preferred female rockers which range from Pat Benatar to Exene Cervenka to PJ Harvey, Ford started writing tunes with a far more intense and modern audio, and headed in to the studio room with Chris Funk from the Decemberists as maker. Ford’s 1st album credited exclusively to her, Slap Back again, premiered by Vanguard Information in Oct 2014. She continuing to focus on her personal for 2017’s Spirit Sick, that was also released on Vanguard.
