Although formed in Sept 1996, Saliva didn’t hit the mainstream until 2001, once the band’s mixture of angsty hard rock and hip-hop helped earn a double-platinum certification because of its sophomore album, Every 6 Mere seconds. Two of the album’s tracks had already made an appearance on Saliva’s self-released debut, that was released in 1997 within the band’s personal label. Vocalist Josey Scott, guitarists Chris Dabaldo and Wayne Swinny, bassist Dave Novotny, and drummer Paul Crosby had been all veterans from the Memphis music picture, and their distributed encounter helped the recording become a regional hit.
