Known as the “performer of her generation” by Groove Armada’s Andy Cato, the eclectic noises of singer/songwriter SaintSaviour, aka Becky Jones, sit down somewhere within the operatic vocals of Maria Callas as well as the indie-disco leanings of Beth Ditto. Having performed single on the functioning men’s membership circuit from a age, her primary ambition was to be always a session vocalist, but after getting encouraged with a musician friend, she began to compose her own music. After fronting the RGBs, the Slips, and Joe & Will Talk to, she released her debut one, a cover of Pleasure Division’s “Like Will Rip Us Aside” in 2008. A calendar year later, she delivered a demonstration to Groove Armada, who had been therefore impressed they asked her to create and record monitors for their Dark Light record, and perform with them on the Glastonbury and Lovebox Celebrations, aswell as their very own headline tour. This year 2010, she released her second one, “Girl Scorned,” through Euphonios Information.
