Sahara Hotnights

While developing up in northern Sweden through the hey time of grunge, the four ladies of Sahara Hotnights needed something tangible to defeat the boredom to be teenagers. Normally, Maria Andersson (vocals/ guitars), Josephine Forsman (drums) and sisters Jennie Asplund (guitars), Johanna Asplund (bass) produced a music group. They were currently consuming Blondie, The Clash as well as the Ramones, so Sahara Hotnights organised themselves under seventies punk rock and roll for an elegant, post-grunge audio of their very own. A self-released debut EP, Matches Anyone Great, was released to critical Western european acclaim in 1997, and nearly immediately things began to happen for Sahara Hotnights. They have scored a label agreement using the Swedish label, Talk and over another 2 yrs, three even more killer singles – “Encounter Moist,” “Oh Darling,” “Nothing at all However” – will be released. In 1999, Sahara Hotnights released their proper studio room full-length C’mon, Let’s Pretend; it could later acquire two Swedish Grammy nominations. Such achievement wasn’t lacking halting, either. Sahara Hotnights got out of their drab Swedish hometown of Umea by the brand new millennium and agreed upon to BMG in the U.K. The Drive Deceased Slow EP made an appearance in Apr 2000 and girls prepped for the sophomore record. The spiky great Jennie Bomb exuded a fresh confidence in the Sahara Hotnights. Today within their early twenties, the powerful inside the music group had hardly ever been better and their musicianship was restricted. America finally captured on in middle-2002; Sahara Hotnights and JetSet setup camp and Jennie Bomb was slated for any domestic launch in September. 2 yrs later, the music group made their main label debut for RCA with Kiss & Inform.
