Sacred Oath

A hard-hitting metallic quartet from Bethel, Connecticut, Sacred Oath pull from a deep well of metallic tradition, giving up a compelling amalgam of thrash, NWOBHM, and power metallic. Created in 1985 by Rob Thorne and Pete Altieri, both of whom had been in senior high school, the group lost short amount of time in obtaining its music in to the hands of potential followers, recording a set of well-received demos in 1985 and 1986. The next year noticed Sacred Oath, which at the moment featured the skills of Thorne, Altieri, Glen Cruciani, and Kenny Evans, lay out tracks for his or her much expected debut studio room long-player. The producing Crystal Eyesight, released in 1988, would continue to be an American power metallic cult traditional, but innovative disagreements with Mercenary Information and its mother or father label Celluloid, the second option of which ultimately went bankrupt, resulted in the bandmembers heading their separate methods soon after its launch. In 2001 the LP was reissued via Sentinel Information, and in 2005 Sacred Oath released a re-recorded edition of Crystal Eyesight known as Crystal Revision. Rejuvenated and working at full power, the band released another new recording, Darkness Visible, in 2007, accompanied by the live concert recording ‘Til Death Perform Us Component in 2008, the eponymous Sacred Oath in ’09 2009, World burning this year 2010, Fallen in 2013, and Ravensong in 2015.
