Created in 1927 in Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh, Sabri Khan spent some time working extensively as an accompanist for most of the best vocalists this hundred years including Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, Amir Khan, Omkarnath Takhur, the Dagar Brothers, Girija Devi and Kishori Amonkar. He also caused Ravi Shankar on his Event of India bundle in 1970.
