Through the Bay Area, Saafir first appeared on Casual’s Fear Itself, Digital Underground’s The Body-Hat Syndrome, as well as the Menace II Society soundtrack. Having a offer from Qwest Information, the rapper recruited the Hobo Junction creation group (J Groove, J.Z., Rational, Big Nasal area, and Poke Marshall) for his freestyle debut, Boxcar Classes (1994).
