The music created by Austin, Texas-based analog electronic quartet S U R V I V E is a brand new, bewildering update of vintage horror and sci-fi film scores aswell as experimental ambient music and minimal wave. Their documented output runs from longform space explorations to hazy lo-fi electro. Their amazing concerts are momentous events, and they possess distributed the stage with Goblin, Xeno & Oaklander, Lightning Bolt, and many more. The group was founded in ’09 2009 by Adam Jones (Troller, 1000 Feet Whale Claw), Kyle Dixon, Tag Donica, and Michael Stein, all prominent users of Austin’s extremely effective synthesizer community. The group’s debut EP, LLR002, made an appearance on regional label Light Lodge this year 2010 and was quickly accompanied by self-released cassette s000 (later on reissued by Holodeck as HD009) and LT019 ‎(on Living Tapes) in 2011. 7″ solitary “W115″ made an appearance on Italian label TO REDUCE La Monitor in 2012, and S U R V I V E’s self-titled debut LP showed up on Mannequin Information soon after. The recording instantly obtained a cult pursuing, selling out many pressings over another couple of years as the band’s status grew. 12” EP MF064 made an appearance on another Austin-based label, Monofonus Press, in 2014. The group added two songs towards the soundtrack from the 2014 actions thriller The Visitor, that was released as a restricted double-LP on Record Shop Day time in 2016. Dixon and Stein constructed music for the Netflix sci-fi/horror series Stranger Stuff (starring Winona Ryder), which immediately received a massive quantity of acclaim when its initial season premiered in July of 2016. Through the same month, it had been announced that S U R V I V E acquired agreed upon to Relapse Information for the discharge of their second full-length, RR7349.
