Rustic Overtones

Rustic Overtones shaped in Portland, Me personally, hometown to all of them. People of the seven-piece clothing are guitarist and lead vocalist Dave Gutter, drummer Tony McNaboe, trombonist Dave Noyes, baritone saxophonist Jason Ward, bassist Jon Roods, alto saxophonist Ryan Zoidis, and Spencer Albee on keyboards and piano. Roods and Gutter started performing together initial, in a family group basement. They afterwards added all of those other group, all close friends from senior high school, and became what’s Rustic Overtones. Regional gigs gained them a group of fans that expanded because the band begun to travel, showing up at near 200 displays some years. In 1998, the Rustic Overtones released their debut record, Rooms per hour, beneath the Ripchord Information indie label. That same season the group documented an EP, My Dirt, and two various other albums, Long Department and Shish Increase Bam. After departing Ripchord, the group got the opportunity to do an record, 2001’s Viva Nueva, for Tommy Boy. The Rustic Overtones were able to pull in a few special guest performers to appear upon this discharge, like Funkmaster Flex, vocalist Imogen Heap, and something extra special visitor, David Bowie. Following commercial failing of its major-label record, Rustic Overtones split up in 2002, following a three-hour farewell present at the Condition Movie theater in Portland. On July 27, 2007, the music group reunited for another Portland efficiency, held on the top of radio place WCYY before 6,000 enthusiasts below in Monument Square. The reunion continuing with a fresh album, Light shining at the end, initially self-issued, but released nationally by Velour GROUP on March 18, 2008.
