Russell Jacquet

The older brother of tenor saxophonist Illinois Jacquet, Russell frequently caused his brother over time but under no circumstances achieved very much fame. He originally performed in the Midwest using the California Playboy Music group (1934-1937), an organization that also included another sibling (Linton Jacquet) on drums. Jacquet caused Floyd Ray (1939-1940) and analyzed at Wiley University (1940-1942) and Tx Southern University or college (1942-1944), leading a large band in the second option college. For the time being, Illinois experienced become popular. Russell recorded along with his sibling, led his personal unsuccessful group and caused Illinois on / off during 1946-1954, frequently recording along with his combo. He produced additional recordings with Illinois in 1965 and 1969 and sometimes led his personal bands but mainly worked like a schoolteacher. Russell Jacquet, a good trumpeter whose design dropped between bop and golf swing, led several titles for World (1944), Contemporary Music (1946), Savoy (1946), Ruler (1948-1949), Imperial (1960), and his personal City Hall label (1964).
