Forming after some cellar practices in NJ circa 2011 before relocating to Philadelphia, psychedelic quintet Ruby the Hatchet brought together doomy, bad hard rock and roll with occult-flavored psychedelia for any witchy brew of dazzled and ominous crazy rock seems. The band presented guitarist Johnny Scarps, drummer Owen Stewart, bassist Mike Parise, and key pad participant Sean Hur, and was trademarked from the howling, powerful vocals of Jillian Taylor. Furthermore to continuous gigging, the music group experienced a prolific documenting schedule aswell, liberating a self-titled EP in 2011 and their debut full-length Ouroboros another 12 months. In 2014 they released many versions of an individual entitled The Eliminator, including a limited-edition launch packaged inside a solid wood box and filled up with arbitrary ephemera. All this made method for the band’s 2015 work Valley from the Snake, a deeper dive in to the band’s progressively gritty stoner rock-influenced sound.
