Ruby Pins

Lillian Maring, the drummer/vocalist for SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA indie punk trio Lawn Widow, began Ruby Pins being a slow-forming single side project this year 2010. Maring composed songs motivated by dreams her close friends acquired about her, documenting every once in awhile on a vintage computer create with an individual microphone. She after that posted these music as tough demos on the tumblr page among tours using the ever-busy Lawn Widow. By the summertime of 2012, there is enough materials amassed for an effective recording and Maring retreated to the tiny town of Slot Townshend, Washington where she documented definitive variations of her tunes with a small number of close friends, but handled a lot of the function herself. The recordings had been released like a self-titled debut LP on Portland, Oregon’s M’Lady’s Information the next June. Maring done Ruby Pins like a live music group by enlisting Bay region music artists Jennifer Weisberg, Brian Tester, and Wendy Farina.
