Ruby Isle

Ruby Isle emerged in the first 2000s using a passel of slick, snappy, electro-pop music which were steeped in later-’80s dance-pop and mediated by an ironic sensibility that nodded to contemporaries like Junior Senior and Yelle. The music group sprung from a cooperation between Tag Mallman, an effective (not forgetting flamboyant) indie pop musician in his very own correct, and his senior high school pal Dan Geller, person in I Am the Globe Trade Middle and co-founder from the Athens, GA-based label Kindercore Information; drummer Aaron LeMay got a shine for some of Ruby Isle’s early recordings, and became a member of forces using the band immediately after. The trio’s debut full-length, Evening Shot, premiered on Kindercore in 2008.
