Ruby Falls

Ruby Falls was a mathematics rock and roll quartet from NY that was composed mainly (or, later within their background, entirely) of feminine musicians. Commensurate with the punk and riot grrrl soul, the majority of their lyrics experienced a definite feminist subtext, plus they wove components of punk to their volatile however complex music aswell, not forgetting more straightforward rock and roll and pop. Created in 1992, the music group originally contains bassist/business lead vocalist Cynthia Nelson, guitarist/vocalists Jennifer Rogers and Letha Rodman, and drummer Andrew Bordwin. More than 1992-1994, the music group released three self-released, cassette-only EPs and toured thoroughly behind them; in addition they issued many 7″ singles on little indie brands like Spartadisc and Villa Villakula and made an appearance on many compilations. Drummer Bordwin remaining in 1994 to go after a profession in pictures, and was changed by Rogers’ sister Laura. The group initial released the EP What She Will on the non-public Favorite label, after that followed it shortly after using their full-length debut, Heroines, on Sterling silver Girl. Nelson eventually had taken another break to spotlight both Retsin as well as the alt-country task the Naysayer, where she performed drums.
