Ruby Andrews’ tuneful later-’60s edges established her being a seductive Windy Town spirit singer. Andrews debuted in the Zodiac label in 1967 and have scored her biggest vendor, “Casanova (Your Playing Times Are Over),” exactly the same calendar year. Effective follow-ups on Zodiac included You Produced a Believer (Away from Me) in 1969 and Everybody Noticed You another calendar year. Andrews later trim some bluesy materials for Ichiban, using the outrageous Swamp Dogg making.
