Biography

A significant songwriter, Rube Bloom’s roots were in jazz. A self-taught pianist, Bloom in 1919 started functioning as an accompanist in vaudeville. During 1924-31 he documented often in jazz configurations including using the Sioux Town Six, Frankie Trumbauer’s Orchestra (which highlighted Bix Beiderbecke), Crimson Nichols, Joe Venuti, the Dorsey Brothers among others. He documented six music (including his “THE PERSON THROUGH THE South”) along with his very own Bayou Guys in 1930 (including Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman and Adrian Rollini). Furthermore, Bloom was a substantial novelty ragtime composer and pianist who documented 23 piano solos during 1926-28 and four extra types in 1934 for the reason that idiom including “Soliloquy” which would also end up being documented by Duke Ellington. Nevertheless his future rest in writing well-known tracks and Bloom constructed such future specifications as “Provide Me THE EASY Lifestyle,” “Don’t Get worried ‘Bout Me,” “Truckin’,” “Fools Hurry In,” “Time In, DAY TRIP,” “STICK TO The Right Aspect, Sister,” “BEST FOR Nothin’ Joe” and “Penthouse Serenade.” He also had written piano instructional books as well as the film rating for “AWAKEN And Fantasy.” After 1934, Rube Bloom under no circumstances again documented within a jazz placing although he continued to be quite active being a songwriter.
