RTX

Just more than four years after Neil Hagerty and Jennifer Herrema disbanded the initial version of Royal Trux, Herrema returned to music with RTX, a music group that applied the swagger and snarl of Accelerator-era Trux to a new lineup. Nadav Eisenmann and Jaimo Welch became a member of Herrema on RTX’s debut, The Transmaniacon, that was released by Royal Trux’s longtime label, Move Town, in fall 2004. Brian McKinley and Kurt Midness became a member of the flip for 2007’s Traditional western Xterminator, a straight grittier, stronger distillation of Herrema and company’s audio. Early the next year, American Xterminator was reissued beneath the name RaTX; that fall, JJ Got Live RaTX — which, despite its name, had not been a live record — offered even more of the band’s brand shredding and sneering.
