Röyksopp

Norwegian duo Röyksopp paid out for the chilly climes of the native Tromsø by causing a number of the warmest, many welcoming downbeat electronica from the 21st century, exemplified by early tracks like “Eple” and “Poor Leno.” The set, Torbjørn Brundtland and Svein Berge, both was raised in Tromsø and started recording in the first ’90s. Local-made-good Geir Jenssen (aka Biosphere) offered tutelage and nearly persuaded the duo to record for R&S sublabel Apollo. Over time aside, Brundtland and Berge fulfilled up once again in Bergen and re-formed Röyksopp in 1998. The group released several singles on Informé, then registered towards the big defeat label Wall structure of Sound. The next May, their cooperation with Robyn, REPEAT, well balanced the duo’s lush, introspective sound with her commanding vocals. In Sept 2014 the duo publicized the forthcoming discharge of their 5th record, The Unavoidable End, that they announced will be their last launch “in the original recording file format.” A darker, even more high-energy affair than before, it had been released in November of this year. Your time and effort presented vocals by Sundfør (“Save Me” and “Operating to the ocean”), Jamie Irrepressible (“YOU UNDERSTAND I must Proceed,” “I HAD DEVELOPED This Thing,” “Compulsion,” and “Right here She Comes Once again”), along with a reworked edition from the REPEAT solitary “Monument” with Robyn. In 2016, Röyksopp added to the Celebrity Wars Headspace compilation using the monitor “Bounty Hunters” and in addition released another Susanne Sundfør cooperation, Never Ever.
