Roy Kay Trio

Led by guitarist/vocalist Roy “Kay” Konitzer, the Roy Kay Trio performs purist rockabilly that owes a solid debt to such legends from the genre as Johnny Burnette, Charlie Feathers, and Carl Perkins. Eschewing drums, the trio increases a quieter but believe it or not energetic rhythmic bottom within the interplay between business lead guitarist Mike Geglia and upright bassist Robin Cady. Located in Seattle, the group released its initial full-length Compact disc, Wanderin’ Brain (made by Deke Dickerson), in 2002 on Lur Liner Information. Knockin’ Em Back again implemented in 2004. In 2005, the trio shipped the Traditional western swing-oriented Rock-A-Way Lonesome Moon. Konitzer came back in 2008 using the Rhythm and Tranquility from the Roy Kay Trio. The next calendar year, Konitzer added drums and particular guests to broaden his rockin’ trio in to the Roy Kay Combo for 2009’s I’m Hooked.
