Rowwen Hèze

A dance music group from holland that sings in Limburgish dialect, Rowwen Hèze rose to mainstream achievement in the 1990s having a festive mixture of Tex-Mex, folk tunes, and ballads. The music group remained popular for a long time afterward, peaking in recognition in 2006 using the chart-topping recording Rodus & Lucius. Founded in 1985 in the town of America, Netherlands, the music group is made up of Jack port Poels (vocals, acoustic guitar, harmonica), William “Tren” vehicle Enckevort (accordion, piano, trombone, vocals), Jan Philipsen (bass), Theo Joosten (acoustic guitar, mandolin, saxophone, whistle, percussion), Jack port Haegens (trumpet, flügelhorn, trombone, percussion), and Martîn Rongen (drums, percussion). Rowwen Hèze produced their eponymous record debut in 1987 and started striking the Dutch singles graph with regularity in the first ’90s. Their initial record to break to mainstream achievement was Place America (1993). Following albums Zondag in ‘t Zuiden (1995), Drinking water, Lucht en Liefde (1997), ‘T Beste truck 2 Werelden (1999), Vandaag (2000), and Dageraad (2003) had been all TOP hits in holland. The 20th anniversary greatest-hits collection ‘T Beste truck 20 Joar — Kilomeaters (2005) was also a high Ten strike. The initial Rowwen Hèze record to hit number 1 was Rodus & Lucius (2006), which include the hit one “Vechte, Valle en Opstoan.” The live record Saus (2008), offering the hit solitary “Nar Boave,” adopted and was another TOP achievement for the music group.
