Daughter of vocalist Carlos Guerra, Peruvian Rossy Battle (given birth to Rosa Guerra Morales) started performing Mexican traditional music in a very early age, mostly influenced by her dad. After taking part in a music group known as los Fender’s, she relocated to Lima and became a member of los Bio Chip’s in 1984. Battle went on her have soon after. Referred to as la Reina de la tecno-Cumbia (techno-Cumbia queen), Rossy Battle became the very first regional artist carrying out that style, an assortment of Tex-Mex and Colombian Cumbia.
