French singer and songwriter Keren Meloul goes on the name Rose, motivated with the Rose — the 1979 film modeled following the lifestyle of Janis Joplin. Rose’s self-titled debut record, released in 2006 on EMI, highlighted the singles “La Liste” and “Ciao Bella” and reached the very best Five from the France albums graph. Les Souvenirs Sous Ma Frange, a far more experimental and much less accessible set documented with Jerome Plasseraud and Thibaut Barbillon, implemented in ’09 2009. Rose after that switched towards the Columbia label and released her third record, Et Puis Juin, in 2013. Its bouncy, light-hearted name song was released as the initial single.
