Ronee Blakley

Ronee Blakley was a folky singer/songwriter who found out critical acclaim with her self-titled 1972 debut. Using the compliment of such luminaries as Bob Dylan, Blakley was cast in the 1975 Robert Altman film Nashville as Barbara Jean, a victimized and eventually doomed vocalist. While a follow-up LP that same yr was generally solid, it proceeded to go nowhere and Blakley thought we would concentrate on performing. She appeared in various films through the entire 1970s and 80s, like the unique Headache on Elm Road. In 1985, she published, directed, and made an appearance inside a psuedo docu-drama entitled I Performed It for you personally. She was also briefly wedded to German filmmaker Wim Wenders. Both of her albums had been released on Compact disc in 2006.
